D) Trees
Explanation:
Tundra is a type of biome which is characterized by its extremely cold temperature and low precipitation as a result of which this biome has permafrost soil. In such climatic conditions much vegetation is not possible in this biome and only little plants like mosses, shrubs, lichens etc. are able to grow in Tundra. Big vegetation like trees are unable to grow in such extremely cold environment. The reason why the weather is so cold in Tundra is because this biome is situated in polar regions and therefore the sun rays do not fall on them directly. Through out the year Tundra receives slanting sun rays which result in extremely cold weather.
