Cicada Killer wasps capture and paralyze cicadas by stinging them, and then fly with their cicada to their burrow. They drag the paralyzed cicada into their burrows and then they lay an egg on it. Once the Cicada Killer larva hatches, it uses the still-living cicada as a food source while it develops.
