How do enhancers accelerate the transcription of a gene?

Enhancers work by serving as binding sites for transcription factors--proteins that regulate transcription. Enhancers lead to the production of regulatory proteins. The proteins bind to regulatory sites of DNA, triggering transcription of cell-specific proteins.

I believe that it would be the scotoma. This is because there are rods and cones of the retina and they are connected to the optic nerve. Where the optic nerve leaves the eye and branches off and wanders towards the nasal region, has no cones or rods. Which is called the blind spot or the scotoma.
