The difference between the resources is the 1,000 year old forest has more trees but people will be more hesitant to cut them down because of how old they are and could be a national park while the 30 year old tree farm can be replanted and are less old so they would be much less hesitant to cut them down. plus the farmer would get paid good money for the trees.
