Which of the following statements is false? Active M-Cdk phosphorylates the activating phosphatase in a positive feedback loop. Mitotic Cdk must be phosphorylated by an activating kinase before it is active. Phosphorylation regulates the activity of mitotic Cdk. Phosphorylation of mitotic Cdk by the inhibitory kinase makes the Cdk inactive, even if it is phosphorylated by the activating kinase. The activating phosphatase removes all phosphates from mitotic Cdk so that M-Cdk will be active.

The correct answer is People can be tested for mutations on these genes.
BRCA1 and BRCA2 are the tumor suppressor genes. Tumor suppressor genes are those genes which regulate the cell cycle and prevent the formation of a tumor. BRCA1 and BRCA2 are associated with breast cancer as mutation in these genes causes breast cancer.
BRCA1 is present on chromosome 17 and BRCA2 is present on chromosome 13. Mutations on these genes are tranferred in the next progeny in an autosomal dominant pattern.
Thus, people can be tested for mutations on these genes.
