Why do you think size would make a difference in the ability of some species of forams to survive?
There is a difference between the size of forams found in the Cretaceous and Tertiary periods. The ones found from the Cretaceous period were big, and the ones found from the Tertiary period were small. Between these two periods, a giant asteroid hit the earth, causing a mass extinction. How did the small ones survive but the large ones not?
