Marketing channel may also be referred to as channel of distribution. Examples of various channels would be, wholesalers, sales agents, intermediaries, etc.
Distribution form could be intensive or extensive. Under the former, products are sold at majority of retail shops. Under the latter, the manufacturer is dependent upon few specific channels. This is usually the case with luxury brands.
