Explanation:
1. Solid particles have the least amount of energy, and gas particles have the greatest amount of energy.
2. Pure substances are substances which are free from some sort of mixture and contain only one kind of particle. Steel, aluminum, silver and gold are representations of pure substances.
3. Chlorine is the most electronegative, but the most energetically favorable of the regular reductions is the formation of Cl-. This makes fluorine the most effective oxidizing agent- it can react too strongly even with water!
4. One of the few popular acidic and reducing gases is sulfur dioxide. It turns pink (being acidic) to moist litmus, then white (due to its bleaching effect).
5. Sulfur dioxide, a chemical compound, SO2, a pungent, suffocating odor, colorless smoke. Chemical materials are corrosive and degrade to form sulfurous acid, H2SO3, in water.
6. Ammonium Chloride is acidic because it has the least number in the pH scale. Its pH scale is 5 and the more the pH is lower, the more acidic the compound is.
7. Both diamond and graphite are made of carbon and have the same chemical properties as carbon and are both susceptible to the same type of chemical reactions.
