Explanation:

From Michaelis Menten equation,

Vo = Vmax[S]/Km+[S]

Vo/Vmax = [S]/Km+[S]

Expressing the initial velocity as a percentage of Vmax is

Vmax/Vo = Km+[S]/[S] × 100

[S] = Km/10

Km = 10[S]

Vmax/Vo = 10[S]+[S]/[S] × 100 = 11[S]/[S] ×100 = 11×100 = 1100%

$\frac{9}{2} = \frac{1+4*2}{2} =4 \frac{1}{2}$
So to check your work you do: $4 \frac{1}{2} \\ 
4*2+1=9= \frac{9}{2}$
