Chemistry
The area in which an object experiences a noncontact force is called a field. Examples of fields include electrical fields, magnetic fields, and gravitational fields. A field extends throughout space and lessens with distance until it is undetectable. Fields are measurable and follow the motion of the field's source. In your own words, explain what a field is in science.
