It begins with each of us. If individuals began to understand the importance of respect, truthfulness, integrity, and understanding and adopted the positive/ loving features into who they are being - not only towards others but within themselves - this would promote and eventually create national integrity. This would occur on a progressive basis as more and more people worked these into who they are being - every second of every day. It would allow people to be aware of who wasn’t showing these behaviors and they would naturally gravitate towards those who do. It would then allow those groups of people to promote individually and together with their choices for change - in their home, work, interactions, community, state, and country - and why. I believe without having respect, truthfulness, integrity, and understanding on an individual/ collective level - there is no national integrity - only self-serving individuals. Without it, the phrase “by the people, for the people” becomes meaningless, as it is no longer true as it is not practiced.
