Congratulational At last you explored the different computer peripherals devices. Let us
proceed to your next activity which is the puzzle. In the puzzle below, look for 10
hidden computer peripheral devices. Write your answer on a separate sheet of paper.

i) To check for mandatory field:

This requires that particular control is empty or not. If empty then user should be prompted to enter answer. In Javascript,

Msgbox “Enter the value”

ii) To chec whether the entered value is valid or not

if document.getelementbyID(“control_name”) = “”

Msgbox “Please Enter the value. The field is mandatory”

else document.getElementbyID(“Control_name”)!= “Valid value”

Msgbox “Please enter a valid value”

The else part check whether the entered value is the expected value. If “yes” then it will continue to next line of code. If “not” then a message box pops up to inform the user that he/she needs to enter a valid value
