Consider a hypothetical cylindrical bubble with a length (L) much, much greater than its radius (R). Keep in mind that a bubble is a thin aqueous film that separates two air regions. If the surface tension of the air-water interface is 70 dynes/cm, do you expect the surface tension of the air-soap solution interface to be greater than, equal to, or less than 70 dynes/cm?
