-Minimum of six paragraphs
-Minimum of five sources (works cited.) Use the following bitly as a resource: OWL Works Cited.
-Introduction: Hook/Thesis
-Thesis must contain three supportive devices from the Surveillance Notes assignment. Place at the end of the introduction.
-Body paragraphs: support claims with outside sources. (Purdue in-text citation) and IR.SC in-text citations
-Counterclaim/Rebuttal (contained in the SAME paragraph)
-Conclusion should restate the thesis, not repeat it!

-Does the introduction contain a clear and concise hook?
-Does the essay contain a specific, well-crafted thesis statement at the end of the intro?
-Does the essay have supporting claims with evidence (in-text citations)?
-Does the essay have a counterclaim followed by rebuttal (in-text citations)?
-Does the essay have an effective conclusion?
-Is the essay written in MLA format including the works cited?
-Is the works cited a separate page with a minimum of five reliable sources?
-Is the essay free of mechanical errors? (i.e. writing, grammar, typographical)
-No contractions (e.g. can’t, won’t, don’t, etc.)
-No personal pronouns (e.g. I, we, my, you, our, your, etc.)
