The national basketball association (nba) tried something new in 2006. it started using synthetic basketballs instead of leather basketballs. leather basketballs are not all exactly the same. they range in their weight and the way they bounce. synthetic balls, though, could be made so each ball weighed and bounced exactly the same. however, players complained that the synthetic balls were slippery when wet, too sticky when dry, and the material left tiny, painful cuts on their hands similar to paper cuts. after six months, the nba returned to using leather basketballs.the players were with the synthetic balls. a. obsessed b. bombarded c. impressed d.
