The Night The night is
a thief of day
stealing the sun
and its warming rays.
A robber of time
for jobs and chores
taking hours we need
and giving back no more.
A stealer of fun
and running and playing
borrowing moments
but never repaying.
Daily night snatches
children's chances to play
forcing them to rest
til the sun saves the day!
How does the metaphor "A robber of time / for jobs and chores' most clearly
contribute to the overall meaning of this poem?

committing a crime.

appears
O C. It suggests that the night takes away time that would be better
used getting things done.

important tasks.
