The Declaration of Sentiments was created to call upon women to organize and petition to gain the rights and privileges that they were denied. The intent and purpose were to achieve equality and to bring about a change for the first time to a sexist society.
The Declaration of Sentiments was trying to convey that Women do not have the same rights as me. It was a “call to arms” in a sense. It called upon women to rise up to make a change in the US, to bring about equal rights to women and men.
This uses Pathos and Logos. There seems to be an angry tone about it as if they are enraged by how the world is. They state many facts as well with what jobs were available to men but no women and how they were paid far less. The main intent seems to be to inspire those oppressed to take a stand for their inalienable rights.
