In his piece, "The Way to Wealth", Benjamin Franklin states that laziness and taxes are "killing" all of us. The only way to be successful is to overcome everything in your way and spend all of your money wisely to be successful and wealthy. Franklin states that if you follow all of these guidelines it will lead you to be more wealthy and happy in life. Franklin specifically states "Leisure is time for doing something useful; this leisure the diligent man will obtain, but the lazy man never; so that, as Poor Richard says, a life of leisure and a life of laziness are two things.", meaning that you can still be useful in your leisure time, but if you're lazy you won't ever get anything done.
