Hercules was always able to think his way through
insurmountable obstacles. One good example of this
was the time when Eurystheus commanded him to
clean the cattle stables. Eurystheus knew they had not
been cleaned in more than 30 years. Hercules came up
with a very creative way to complete this task. He
smashed two large holes in the stable walls and dug a
canal from a nearby river all the way to the stable. The
river flowed through the newly dug canal, washed
through the stable, and cleaned it
