I certainly do agree! If one has some great, secret, inner desire to accomplish or create something if only because they would like to see it done, they, and often the World are the better for it! Perhaps it is a new type of musical instrument to play the “written only” music of the musician named Massenet, who wrote down sounds in an age that did not yet have the technology to create it! This is a noble creation, to make his works possible. A Chemist may see, in his or her mind, a structure which they can imagine will perform a certain function; if they study and rise to a position where they can make and and test their ideas, the visions in their heads, what accomplishments may await! But to be discouraged from something said by others not only destroys the dreams of the dreamers, but the contributions which just may have been made by them. To see in your mind something that may not come to another for who knows how long, something that may bring joy, like the music of Massenet, or give new medications or useful compounds or any of a myriad of those things only you may discover to be wonderful for others seems very like a sort of crime; a crime of repression, so fight for your own dreams and make them real if you can.
