Why the size of farms increased dramatically after world war 2

The end of world war II was followed with many advancements in Agricultural machinery. These advancements allow farmers to produce larger output quantity with lesser time. This lead to many of them to increase the size of the farm while reducing the amount of labor to replace them with machinery.
