Abby wishes to increase the number of minutes she walks. She currently walks 1 mile in 20 min, 3 times per week. She has decided to increase the time she walks by 10% each week. She wants to make this change because her friends walk a longer distance, and she has not been able to keep up with them. Her walking schedule is on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Her past workout plan consisted of swimming on Tuesday, stationary cycling on Thursday, and walking on Saturday with her friends; but she discovered that this was not improving her ability to walk farther with her friends. This is why she has changed to walking 3 times per week and is motivated to increase her walk time.
