1. After founded by Muhammad in early 7t century, it took little time for Islam to expand into vast areas covering whole Mediterranean, Western Asia, Eastern Europe, and North
Africa. During the period of the 8t century and the 12'* century Islamic world had become
greatly successful not only religiously but also economically. Explain what made such
expansion of Islam possible.
