A voting map of the United States for the Presidential election of 2000 showing that 30 states voted for G W Bush, a Republican (mostly southern and western states) and 20 states voted for Gore, a Democrat (northern and Pacific coast states). Either A. Or D. The US did threaten them a lot during the Cuban missile crisis, and demanded that the missiles be dismantled. They did not directly invade Cuba for fear of them launching the missiles. They also did not invade Russia, for fear that they would launch missiles as well.
