According to this 1849 illustrated poem, what was one reason london’s drinking water was polluted?

By looking at the 1849 poem, one reason that London's drinking water was polluted was because the Thames River was polluted. The river was polluted because it was filled with sewer, factory waste, and sink waste. Officials were paid off to ignore all of the pollution being dumped into the Thames River. 

 During WWII, the two prominent users of fascism were Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini. Through the Pact of Steel and other pacts that were signed, both of their countries were strengthened and thus the axis and ally powers were formed. The major axis powers were Germany, Japan, and Italy.  The major allied powers were the USA, the UK, France, China and several others.  So, in a way, fascist parties were the start of WWII. Fascism didn't only somewhat start WWII, it also had an effect on it. If Hitler had stopped his insanity in 1938, there might not have been a war, and Hitler may have grown to be a respectable leader (according to some historians' opinions).   Fascism didn't just end as WWII did. Fascism as an idea still continued on and is still followed by people around the world today. Fascism in our world is now referred to as "neo-fascism." Neo-fascists can be anywhere from small groups of everyday people who follow Hitler's beliefs, or they can be serious political parties, like the American Nazi Party or Greece's Golden Dawn.
