Are there economic reasons why a nation supports education and training? no, teachers' unions have just tricked taxpayers into supporting public schools. no, it is just national pride that makes countries compete in education. yes, schools give jobs to otherwise unemployable people. yes, much of the human capital of a nation's workforce is acquired in school.
