If the USSR’s economy had remained agriculture-based rather than industrialized, then women would have been much less in demand in the workforce.
Further Explanations:
During the 1920s the Soviet Union faced a massive famine that shattered the lives of numerous citizens of the nation. The principal cause for such starvation can be blamed as the policies that the government framed, portions of which some turned colossal challenge for the agrarians to meet. Fabric and other edibles were seized by the management. The forced collectivization of agriculture was the policy of the Soviet government against the first five-year plan that expected grain support as per the rapid industrialization, resulting in decreased of farm labor force, and frequent bad famines. These factors brought rapid changes in the society. It led to rapid industrialization and at the same time advancement of agriculture.
It the situation would not have been the same and the economy would have been agriculture-based then the involvement of womenfolk would have been in much less in demand than males in the labor force. It is a well-known fact that the agricultural economy favors the workforce of men over women as due to natural advantage in stamina and strength.
