Paragraph 1:
It was the the year 66 AD when the Jews of Judea rebelled against the Romans. In response to the rebel Nero the Roman Emperor sent out an army under the command of Vespasian. By the year 68, the rebellion in the northern part of the province had been abolished. After that the Romans decided to turn their entire focus towards the attack on Jerusalem. During the same year Nero had committed suicide. This created a power vacuum in Rome. In the chaos, Vespasian was declared Emperor. Command of the army then fell into Nero's son Titus's hands.
Paragraph 2
The Romans surrounded the city and began to push in on the Jewish stronghold. By the year 70, nearly 2 years of fighting the Romans finally breached Jerusalem's outer walls and began to destroy the city. The attack ultimately led to the burning and destruction of the Temple that served as the center of Judaism. This finally led to the fall of Jerusalem.

Hello!
I'm just gonna talk about the 70 AD one.
During its long history, Jerusalem has been attacked 52 times, captured and recaptured 44 times, besieged 23 times, and destroyed twice. The Romans first got involved when they were dragged into a war and ended up taking Judea in 64 BC. They relied heavily on the local elites. ( which are just like militia) Then in Jerusalem, (a few years later) people start to revolt. Roman bases such as Caesarea marched to Jerusalem only to be driven out by the Jewish revolt. Then they started to revolt across the country, destroying multiple Roman bases. The Vespasian came along and marched to the local cities and bases and conquered all of the revolties besides Jerusalem. Then a few months later, Three Legions came from the north east and west, on a quest to conquer back Jerusalem. Titus the person who was leading the war led a scout to see the defenses but the Jewish warriors came from the gates and attacked. Titus retreated and ordered the Romans to build a base closer to Jerusalem. Then the Jewish Warriors attacked, catching the Romans completely off guard and killing many. The attacks went back and forth between the two groups. But eventually Jerusalem fell.
