Taiwan is part of Chinese territory. Although the People's Republic of China (aka China) rules only Mainland China and has no control of Taiwan, it still considers Taiwan to be part of its territory. Therefore, it would only make sense that a territory of China would be rejected it's right to become an independent nation under China's one-China policy.
