I believe protesting would definitely change certain policies because you go back were martin luther king fought for equality and that changed tremendously even though there is still racism it is not as bad as it was in the 1900s. The Supreme Court (D).
Franklin Roosevelt was elected president of the United States in the 1930s, when the country was going through the Great Depression. Roosevelt was elected on a platform that promised to combat the economic crisis through fiscal assistance and expansion policies. This type of heterodox economic policy goes against the values of conservatism. The Supreme Court was formed mostly by cabinet ministers, who put obstacles to the approval of Roosevelt's projects, including the New Deal. Thus, Roosevelt had to circumvent the resistance of the Supreme Court through his political actions. He was a very strong president and managed to break this resistance and his government succeeded in containing the crisis.
