Britain could have given the colonists representation.
Explanation:
The british did something called "taxation without representation". It was when britain taxed the colonists' impute. This is what led to the boston tea party.
another answer is that the colonists could have stopped harrasing british officers. I am american but i know that the colonists were being terrible to the british. this led to a fight in the street and a dead man. this was the boston massacure, even though only five people died. this "massacure" was then exagerated in how it went and turned the colonists against the british.
Hope this helps:)

The correct answer is Missouri would be admitted into the Union as a slave state.
The Missouri Compromise was a piece of legislation passed in 1820. The goal of this law was to settle whether or not slavery would exist in the new territories gained by the United States during the era of westward expansion. Since Northern and Southern politicians could not come to the same idea of whether or not slavery would exist in these new territories, they compromised.
The Missouri Compromise ends up doing the following:
1) Missouri enters the Union as a slave state.
2) Maine enters as a free state.
3) 36'30 is established- This boundary states that any new territory added to the Union that is north of this line will become a free territory. However, any new territory south of this line will allow for the institution of slavery.
