Geography is a major factor affecting the economy of Florida. Mostly, this is due to the state's weather, and it coastline. The warm weather attracts retirees and tourists, who contribute to the economy. In addition, the warm climate allows for the growth of winter produce and citrus for export. Lastly, the coast also contributes to tourism as well as shipping.

The cotton gin highly effected the american economy because it saved all the work of separating cotton by hand. hopefully this helps! :)
