In 1919 and after the efforts ans sacrifaces made by women in the WWI efforts from the country, President Woodrow Wilson was persuaded and convinced to put his effort and support behind the 19th Amendment that would give universal voting rights to all women that were legally aged. This was a turning point in history and it helped more and more women joining the association founded in 1890 by the merge of two different association that both were pushing for women to gain universal voting rights.
