President Truman's approach to defeat labor strikes and movements in the post war era mainly consisted on using the force, like in 1950 when he anticipated the railroad strike by sending the US army to seize control of the railway system, or by passing laws which many believed were restraining the worker's rights, as the Labor Management Relations Act of 1947, known as the Taft–Hartley Act.
Truman was more focused on other issues related to national security (specially after sending troops to North Korea), and was not interested in understanding better these labor movements which in the end he considered an unnecessary disturbance and a threat to the correct functioning of the economic and security infrastructures in the country.
