Penny Auctions
As the movement of foreclosure disposals doubled among 1930 and 1932, more and more producers became despondent. Activists necessitated that state representatives suspend foreclosure sales. Furious farmers walked on the capitol constructions in various states, including Nebraska. Some settlers in Madison County, Nebraska, took affairs into their own controls. In 1931, approximately 150 producers conferred up at a foreclosure sale at the Von Bonn family estate. The concept picked on. Harvey Pickrel recognizes conforming to a Penny Auction where "some of the producers wouldn't respond on anything at all – because they were attempting to accommodate the humanity that was being auctioned out."
