There are several differences between the Atlantic Hagfish and the Gulper Eel. Even though both are part eel, the Atlantic Hagfish has a part that the Gulper eel does not which is sea snake. Unlike the Gulper eel that gulps its prey with its big pouch-like mouth, the Atlantic Hagfish eats their prey from the inside out. As opposed to the Atlantic Hagfish, the Gulper Eel has a long tail tipped with a glowing organ that is used to attract its prey. The last difference is that the Gulper Eel does not release slime to neutralize its victim.
