Rome began to lose territory after the Pax Romana because option B. expansive borders faced constant attack. The Pax Romana or Roman Peace, was a period of relative peace that lasted for almost 200 years, in the Roman Empire. It started with Augustus. Such a big empire was always subject to riots, rebellions, and insurrections which caused the loss of territory.
