Which of the following best describes what Fales takes to be the best case to be
made for metaphysical naturalism?
Naturalistic theories are more obvious and clear because they are simpler and
more elegant.
When we do science, we must bracket our religious beliefs and proceed from a
shared background of observation and fact.
Throughout the history of science, naturalistic theories have a successful record
of explaining what was previously unexplained and have even overtaken
supernaturalistic theories in many cases, but the same cannot be said of
supernatural theories.
We can know just from thinking about it that everything that exists is a part of
nature, because if it exists then in interacts with nature and if it interacts with
nature then it is natural.
