Why did the Framers give the President power to Veto and also give Congress the power to override a veto? A: They gave each branch the ability to check or prevent one branch from becoming too powerful.

B: So the Judicial Branch can confirm the law before it is enforced.

C: The American People don’t want the President and Congress to work together.

D: So that no laws would be made.
