The Constitution is respected by all Americans because it protects our individual, fundamental and natural rights. Without the creation of it, which was a 100 day process, we would still be living under the Articles of Confederation, that no longer served The U.S's needs at the time, just imagine it now. The amount of debate and arguing between parties of Anti-Federalists and Federalists is what makes it such a sucessful document today, many voices were heard, to gaurentee that for generations, more and more voices would be heard.
The Constitution protects our rights to life, liberty and pusuit of hapiness (John Locke). With out this document the government, states, and people would never agree and their would be constant conflict. It creates a balanced government that has served us well. It gaurentees our rights as citizens.
