D) Lyndon B. Johnson's "Great Society"
Explanation:
In his first year in office, Lyndon B. Johnson (LBJ) initiated a program of social reforms that as a whole are known as the Great Society and that was based on two central objectives: ending poverty and racial injustice. The President sought to transform the country through a series of important reforms. In 1964, Johnson got Congress to pass the Civil Rights Act and a $ 10 billion reduction in taxes, which produced an increase in investment capital and personal consumption. As a result, the economy grew and the budget deficit narrowed.
