1. The slope intercept form of an equation is:

y = m x + b

where m is the slope and b is the y intercept

2 x + 3 y = 1470

3 y = - 2 x + 1470

y = - 2/3 x + 490

So the slope m = - 2/3, and the y-intercept is b = 490

2. To graph this line, we would assign different values of x starting from zero. Then plug in the value of x to calculate for the corresponding value of y. We would then plot on a graph the (x, y) values that we can obtain then connect them with a line.

3. The function notation is simply in the form of:

f(x) = m x + b

therefore:

f(x) = - 2/3 x + 490

The graph of the function simply indicates the amount of f(x) that can be obtained for every x values.

5. Since the prices will still be the same, therefore the slope m would still be similar. This means that the degree of inclination of the graph would be the same. The main difference would be on the y-intercept b. Since the profit is higher, therefore the new graph would be located above the 1st function.
