y = (3x-1)/2
switch x and y
x = (3y-1)/2
2x = 3y-1
2x+1 =3y
y = 2/3*x + 1/3
f^(-1) (x) = 2/3*x + 1/3
f^(-1) (4) = 2/3*4 + 1/3 = 8/3 + 1/3 = 9/3 = 3
I hope this helps. ;)
