$3m = \frac{(n + 1)^{\frac{1}{2} }}{4}$

Lets multiply both the sides by 4.

$= \frac{(n + 1)^{\frac{1}{2} }}{4} \times 4 = 3m \times 4$

$= (n + 1)^{\frac{1}{2} } = 12m$

It can be also written as :-

$= \sqrt{(n + 1)} = 12m$

Lets square both the sides.

$= [\sqrt{(n + 1)} ]^{2} = (12m)^{2}$

= n + 1 =144m^2

= n = 144m^2 - 1
