a) 1.4 * 10^5 = 1.4 * 10 * 10 * 10 * 10 * 10= 140,000  km

b) Mars has the smallest diameter (6,800 km). A helpful tip is to look at the exponents of the base; Mars' exponent is 3 which is the least.

c) Diameter of Saturn - Diameter of Neptune

  = (1.2 * 10^5) - (5.0 * 10^4)

  = (120,000) - (50,000)

  = 70,000 km

The difference between the diameter of Saturn and the diameter of Neptune is 70,000 km.
