So you know that the su of all the scores is 0.

The scores in the table are cecilia -3, janine 3, sami 1 and ted 4 and travis x, where x is the number that we want to know.

if we sum those, we have : 3 - 3 + 4 + 1 + x = 0

and we get 5 + x = 0

then x= -5, so travis's score is -5 points.

gourmet coffee or x: 8 packages

pastries or y: 6 packages

8 packages of coffee that each cost $6 each is 8x6 which is 48

6 packages of pastries that each cost $4 each is 6x4 which is 24

If you add 48 and 24 together, you get $72, and also there are 2 more coffee packages than pastries packages
