Median=120
Lower quartile=112
upper quartile=140
interquartile range=28
Step-by-step explanation:
We find the median of a data by firstly arranging our data into ascending or descending order and then finding it's middle term.
on aaranging our data into ascending order we have:
104 109 115 118 120 135 139 141 148
hence we could clearly see that the middle term is 120.
Hence, Median=120.
the lower quartile is the median of a lower half of the data i.e. median of:
104 109 115 118
on calculating it's median we have lower quartile=112.
similarly upper quartile is the median of upper half of the data i.e. median of:
135 139 141 148
on calculating it's median we have upper quartile=140.
now interquartile range is the difference between upper quartile and lower quartile.
interquartile range=140-112
=28
Hence, interquartile range=28.
