The equation which shows the proportional relationship between the distance, d and the time, t, that the train has traveled is:

                           d=45t

The distance traveled by train in 1.5 hours is:  67.5 miles.

As we know that the speed of the train is constant.

This means that the ratio of distance to speed is always constant.

i.e.

         Hence, the proportional relationship between distance and time is:

                            d= 45t
