A solar thermal power tower is rated to produce 10 MW of power using a steam turbine. The thermal energy will be collected using 1 106 kg of molten nitrate salt as the thermal reservoir with a heat capacity of 1.5 kJ/kg K. The salt can be heated to a maximum of 565 oC and heat can be removed from the salt to a minimum of 265 oC
