The component of waves must have same frequency and phase.

when the component of waves vibrate at the same rate and attain maximum point at the same time, reinforcement of the waves amplitude occur to cause a constructive interference.However, when the two waves are out of phase where one is at minimum when the other is at maximum a destructive interference happens.

In my opinoin back then it was alot easier, i mean it is now but back then u didnt have to learn so many things it was eaiser to get your drivers lisence it was eaiser to study it was easier to everything back then now the world it relaying on technology to do everything for us now dont get me wrong the tech we have now is great and its really help us out over the years but its also our down fall, hope this helped out a little
